We’re Saul and Louise —sheep farmers who live just across the paddock. We moved here in 2017, returning to take over Saul’s family farm. Our seasons are marked by the sound of the shearing shed, hot winds and dry times, the burst of life after rain, sitting by the fire and those deep, quiet nights when the stars feel close enough to touch.
We both grew up in old stone homesteads so jumped at the chance to purchase this beauty next door. When we first opened this homestead to guests, we wanted to create the kind of stay that feels unhurried, comfortable and easy. A place where you can settle in, put the kettle on, step outside, and feel the landscape around you.
This house has history, character and space — and we’ve taken care to pair that charm with good beds, quality linen, modern heating/cooling, a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches that will make your stay easier. You’re four kilometres from the township of Hawker — close enough for supplies and a café stop, yet far enough to feel you’ve left the everyday behind.
We’re ‘on call’ hosts and are happy to answer questions or give advice about the area.
Come to slow down, take in the ranges, and enjoy spectacular views that stay with you!
